Maintaining your Chemo Wig - How to wash?
It is important to maintain your wig, to keep it in perfect shape
...and to minimize wear & tear
We'll be showing you how to wash your Chemo Wig
Advisable to wear a pair of gloves, for hygiene. Since chemotherapy may have reduced immunity.
When you buy a Chemo Wig from us, a KIT containing all the washing accessories will be given
Take a wide-mouthed tub, filled half-way with fresh water. Please use soft water (drinking water)
Hard water may cause long damage to the Wig
Add sufficient quantity of shampoo into the water,and lather up.
Take the Wig, free it up if styled.
Holding the Wig straight up, dip the entire length gently into the shampoo water
Soak the wig in the shampoo water for a few minutes. Use a quality shampoo.
Do not rub the Wig. Just allow it to soak.
Dip the wig in & out of the shampoo water ... gently squeeze down the excess water
Repeat the process, a few times
Wash the inside portion as well, by reversing it out
Make sure there is no tangling ...
Make sure there is no tangling ...the Wig should come up straight and undisturbed
Soak longer, if required (5 to 10 minutes)
After sufficiently soaking, replace shampoo water with fresh water
Rinse Wig in fresh water, to ensure that there is no shampoo left on it
Make sure entire Wig is clean, and free of tangles / knotting
Gently squeeze out excess water
Now, add some conditioner to the water, and soak the Wig in it
Conditioner will make the Wig soft, silky, and shiny
You can also apply some conditioner to the Wig too
Soak the Wig in conditioner water, for a few minutes

The Wig is now softer, due to the conditioner
Gently squeeze out excess water
Use a broad-tooth comb, to gently brush down the length of the Wig
Make sure there is no tangling...
If there is no tangling, the comb will smoothly pass through...
Comb all around, including the top portion & sides
Better to comb when wet, since there'll be no tangling.
If you comb after it is dry, may encounter tangles, causing hair pull.
Once thoroughly combed, you can now dry the Wig under a fan, or in an open place
Caution: A blow dryer should be used at MINIMUM temperature only - to avoid damage to Wig
When drying, do reverse the wig at the top, so that the mesh dries up too
Once dry, comb again & style as desired

How to Wear Your Chemotherapy Wig over a Wig Cap
Long Hair Wig
Before putting on the Wig, comb it gently & thoroughly. Use a broad-toothed comb, as shown here
Wig needs to be tangle-free, the comb should freely glide through the entire length
Comb all around, especially at the parting on the top
Rest the wig on your forehead.. Use the lace portion at the back, pull it into place
The Wig should snugly sit like a cap
Gently pull out the 'baby' hair over your forehead, for a natural look
You can now style your wig as desired - plait, pony-tail, or tie up into a bun ...
The length of this Wig is approximately 26 inches long
Customized Grey haired wigs can be supplied to the desired degree of greying
Before wearing a wig, always give it a thorough, gentle brush, with a broad-tooth comb
Gray colored wigs worn by a senior, gives a natural ageing look, unlike the artificial look of a black wig
Use the buckle on the elastic strip inside, to loosen or tighten the grip of the wig over the head
Wear it over your forehead, and adjust all around to set it in place
Now, style as desired ... knot, plait, or use a clip / band to pony it up
Whatever the style, you will get a natural look
Gently pull out the 'baby' hair over your forehead, for a realistic look

How to take the right measurements, while ordering a wig
Before starting the Chemo therapy, take these measurements on your natural hair
Circumference, using a measuring tape over your forehead ...
Let it run just above both ears, and join at the lower back of the head
Left Ear to Right Ear, in an arc over the head
Front Hairline (from the centre point) to the back of the head (at the base of the hair crop)
Full Hair Length: Front Hairline (at the centre point) through the entire length of the hair (right to the tip)
...right upto the length desired, in case you prefer it longer / shorter than the current length
Forehead measurement, along the hairline
A close-up snap will help us know the color & texture of your hair. Pl specify, if you need a change in color
These details will help us deliver a wig that is closest to your natural hair & style
